Is he actually an Offaly hurler?

Wayne Rooney has been described by Irish comedian, Dara O Briain, as a rejected Offaly hurler and one look at the lower half of Rooney’s face would make me agree.

Judge Rooney for yourself here. His spectacular goal at the end of last night’s 1st leg semi-final match against AC will endear him to the hearts of all fans of things MUFC. United fans, even those who have Ronaldo duvet covers and aged 9, can be delighted at the progress made in the second half of last night’s match. Being 2 1 down to one of Europe’s best teams with a player like Kaka’ on board is a difficult ask but for Wayne to score in the last two minutes of added time makes it very sweet indeed.

Many have questioned Rooney’s commitment this season. It is as if the bar is set higher for United when you look at the lack of criticism for particular individuals in Chelsea’s squad for example. Are United as a team more vulnerable individually? Me? I love the midlands head on the Roonster.
